WHO AM I?

Sutfer, formerly known as Lights-Music, is an independent artist originally from Mexico.

His musical project began on April 3, 2024, marking the start and creation of "Lights-Music," a name that would signify the beginning of "Yair González's" independent music career.

But "Lights-Music" didn't come about overnight. In 2021, Yair González decided to create a YouTube channel titled "LIGHTS-topic," where he began uploading his instrumental songs of all kinds: Dubstep, Electronic, etc. These were created using Bandlab, but after six videos uploaded to his channel, he eventually abandoned the project and consequently his YouTube channel.

Year 2024

After a long time, Yair González would return with a new musical proposal, inspired by various artists such as "Twenty One Pilots," "Hans Zimmer," and "Ludwig Göransson," deciding to create an instrumental piece that reminded him of a universe. With all that in mind, something mystical was about to be born.

"Hidden Universe," the name currently given to their first single, was released on April 3, 2024, in all digital stores, giving rise to Lights-Music being born in the sound universe that "Yair" was creating.

Despues de que hidden universe se estrenara: Yair, se tomó un tiempo aproximado de 5 meses para crear su nueva canción, en el mes de Septiembre, empezó a idear su nuevo single, el primer consepto que se tuvo, era que la pieza musical evocara un sentimeto de persecucion por la noche, como si algo estuviera asechando y persiguiendo por un bosque o ciudad en plena madrugada.

Con algunas ideas tomadas Yair emprenderia su travecia en la produccion de su nuevo single. Aproximadamente 2 semanas despues, su cancion estaba terminada.

Officially on October 12, 2024, Dsitubing Night was released, positioning itself as their second single to be released in the same year.

Sound evolution

Shortly after the release of Disturbing Night, Lights-Music would launch an EP, which Yair would consider a continuation of his second song titled "Disturbing Night," remembering that the essence of that song was being chased by something. With that conceptual idea for his second release, he would create an EP titled "Nightfall's Ascent," which will contain 2 songs titled "The Last Night of Life" and "Awakening," marking a loop between "Disturbing Night" and the two mentioned songs, like a death and rebirth at the same time.

On November 18, 2024, Nightfall's Ascent would premiere for the first time on all streaming platforms, marking the conclusion of its last release of the year.

The creation of MN Sphere LLC

During the creation of Nightfall’s Ascent, Yair felt the need to give identity to his project through his own record label. He spent several days thinking about the ideal name until a spark of inspiration led him to a simple yet meaningful word: "Sphere." He wanted to add a more personal touch, so he incorporated the initials "MN," in honor of a special name that had marked his life. Finally, he decided to complete the name with a professional touch: MN Sphere LLC. Since then, all his works have been released under this label, which has become an essential part of his artistic identity.

Desde entonces, todas sus obras se lanzan bajo este sello, el cual se ha convertido en una parte esencial de su identidad artística.

Year 2025

Lights-Music marco una gran etapa en Yair, descubriendo su sonido y estilo de musica que le aficonaba crear, pero un dia Yair penso que el nombre "Lights-Music" era muy generico o anticuado, pero un dia decido a buscar el nuevo nombre que lo llevaria a tener su propio espacio en el internet.

Although the idea of changing his artistic identity lingered, he still had a project in mind, like a metaphor for a lucid dream, so at the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025 he would begin the creation of "Ecliptic Dream," his last song that he would release under the name Lights-Music.

Con todo en mente se adentraria una vez mas en la produccion de su nueva cancion, pero esta vez con un poco de experiencia en produccion musical, pasado un tiempo Yair estaba por terminar su cancion, pero en ese momento el recuerdo tomo posecion en la mente de Yair, y lo hizo recordar que desde pequeño le apacionaba el universo y sus misterios, pero habia una cosa que durante mucho tiempo le robo la atencion_ "Los agujeros negros", esos gigantes de región finita que cuyo interior pareciece que esconde todo el conociemto de millones de vidas. Aquellos eran la inspiracion de Yair, y para darle protagonismo a su obra, decido modelar un agujero negro en blender para su portada.

Birth of Sutfer

  ​Despues de crear su ultima cancion Yair desapareció del radar por bastante tiempo, pero por una buena razón, durante su desaparacion de las redes sociales, y la musica, el seguia buscando el nombre indicado para sustituir el nombre de Lights Music, pero un dia le llego la inspiracion, "Que tal si ultilizo la plabra "Surfer" y le hago una pequeña modificacion, en vez de la letra "R" pongo la letra "T"" este pequeño e insignificante cambio de letras, daria paso a un nuevo nombre una evolucion musical y sonoridad. Sutfer estaba por nacer, solo necesitaba una cancion para que este nuevo nombre bautizado como "Sutfer" pudiera nacer en el internet.

Tras la creación de su nuevo nombre artistico, Yair comenzaria a producir una nueva cancion para la canonizacion de este nuevo personaje en el universo ficticio de Yair, Dia tras dia creo algo que tarde o temprano lo llamaria "Vereg" un nombre que provenia de una lengua inventada por el mismo, que repesentaba el universo sonoro que hace años estaba creando.

Thus, Vereg became the first official release under the name Sutfer, marking the beginning of a new stage, more personal, more introspective, and more authentic.

He is currently still creating music and building his sound universe.
